The rules
Terms and Code of Conduct
These are the terms you accept when you join, and the conduct expected of everyone at a RollingSlow event.
Code of Conduct
The club exists because it is calm. The rules are short:
- No revving. No burnouts. No antisocial behaviour.
- Arrive and leave quietly, and respect residents and neighbouring businesses.
- Follow the directions of organisers and venue staff at all times.
- Drive within the law on public roads getting to and from an event.
- Be welcoming. Enthusiasm is the point; showing off is not.
Breaking these may end your membership without refund. We would much rather have a quiet word first, and usually will.
Membership
- Membership is personal to you and cannot be transferred.
- You must be old enough to hold the membership you buy, and information you give us must be accurate.
- Paid tiers and their benefits are described on the membership page. Where a benefit depends on availability, such as a parking zone, we allocate it in good faith and cannot always guarantee it.
- You can cancel at any time. We do not refund part-used periods unless the law requires it.
Events
- An RSVP is a place for you and the car you registered, and a waitlist place is not a place. Please do not travel on a waitlist place.
- Cancel if you cannot make it, so someone else can attend.
- You attend at your own risk, and your car is your responsibility. Make sure it is roadworthy, taxed and insured.
- Photography happens at events. We only publish pictures of you if you have said we may, and you can change your mind at any time in your account. Saying no does not affect your place at anything.
- We may cancel or change an event, and will tell you as soon as we can if we do.
